The Diamondbacks just returned home from a long ten game road trip and played only three games at home before being sent right back out on the road for another long six game road swing. Arizona is not a good road team and have now dropped six of eight more away from home. They are now being asked to face a right-hander here in this one, an area that they have struggled all season with as they come in averaging well over a run less per game against them.

St. Louis will go with Kyle Loshe in this one and Loshe continues to quietly have an excellent season thus far. Loshe comes in with 12 quality starts in his last 13 trips to the hill. He has seen a slight increase in the strikeout department as well in his last few starts while only allowing just one earned run in his last 13 innings pitched. Everyone has been waiting patiently for this talented Cardinals team to put it all together this season but for some reason they just haven’t been able to do that yet. The Cardinals may be playing their best baseball of the season right now, having gone 17-8 in their last 25 games and 19-7 at home in their last 26 in Busch Stadium including winning all of the last five starts by Loshe.

St. Louis looks like all business right now and have the Diamondbacks number having beat them seven straight times along the way. Take St. Louis here in this one.
