The Oakland A’s have been the hottest team in baseball over the last few weeks, yet they aren’t getting treated like it. Once again they’re an underdog to the Toronto Blue Jays tonight, and I’ll take full advantage. Oakland has won 15 of its last 17 games overall to get to 52-44 on the season and right in the thick of the Wildcard race. The A’s have received excellent starting pitching from names that many bettors have not heard of before, and that’s why they continue to go under the radar. A.J. Griffin gets the ball tonight, and he’s 2-0 with a 2.70 ERA and 1.000 WHIP in five starts this year. He’ll be up against Toronto’s Ricky Romero, who is 8-6 with a 5.22 ERA and 1.504 WHIP in 20 starts this season. The left-hander is simply having a down year, yet he’s getting treated like one of the better starters in the game. Take the red-hot A’s on the Money Line.
