New York Yankees vs. Detroit Tigers

No player was more important to the New York Yankees 2009 World Series victory than A.J. Burnett. After C.C. Sabathia had lost Game 1, Burnett came back and pitched a gem in Game 2 to get the win. While it has been an up and down season for Burnett, he will have that experience to fall back on as starts Game 4 tonight in Detroit.

I really believe the Yankees are going to get after Rick Porcello, who has posted very similar numbers to Burnett this season. Porcello sports a 4.75 ERA and 1.407 WHIP in 31 starts this year, and he’s been at his worst in Detroit. Porcello is 5-5 with a 5.64 ERA and 1.482 WHIP in 14 home starts in 2011.
