Charlotte Bobcats vs. New Orleans Hornets
Pick: Charlotte Bobcats +6.5

The worst team in the Eastern Conference takes on the worst team in the Western Conference so while it may be unwatchable, it is not unbettable. Charlotte is coming off a 27-point blowout loss at Oklahoma City which isn’t a big surprise and the road has been very unkind to the Bobcats in recent games as they have four road contests have resulted in losses of 27, 30, 15 and 35 points. Three of those games came against playoff teams while the other games was at Detroit which is playing a lot better at home.
New Orleans is coming off a rare win on the road at Minnesota and victories have been few and far between and the Hornets have won only eight games since a surprising 2-0 start to the season. They have actually been a better team on the road as the Hornets are only 4-16 on their home floor. Because they are playing an even worse team, they are favored here and this is the most points they have been favored by this season. It has not been a good role as they are 0-5 ATS when laying points, losing all five games outright.
Taking a look at the Hornets wins at home and you may be surprised as they have defeated Dallas, Utah, Orlando and Boston and with the exception of the Jazz, that is a very strong group. But what that does show is how much they have stepped down to the level of the opposition as they have not defeated any real bad teams at home. They are 1-4 ATS in their last five home games against teams with a losing road record and the big line only hurt the chances of that improving.
As bad as the Hornets have been, this might be the Bobcats’ best chance at a road win the rest of the season and they certainly need it. New Orleans is 5-14 in its 19 games this season coming off a win against the number so it has followed up strong performances with bad one the next time out. This is the first meeting this season between the two teams and while Charlotte has not been good in this series over the years and especially in New Orleans, this is the worst Hornets team it has faced. 3* (505) Charlotte Bobcats. Pick: Warriors vs. Clippers Under 199
The Warriors’ 24-point win over Dallas Saturday and the Clippers’ 12-point win over San Antonio Friday sets up a very solid unders situation for us this evening. Consider that “under” plays on any team off a home blowout win of 20 points or more that is matched up against an opponent off a road win of 10 points or more are 88-43 (67.2%) since 1996. We have only seen an average of 190.0 total points scored in this situation. It is also worth noting that this system is 31-11 (73.8%) the last 5 seasons. These two have played to the under in 4 of their last 5 in Los Angeles. We’ll bet the under. *No. 1 Ranked Basketball Capper All-time at this Network* With Saturday’s 3-0 SWEEP, Jimmy improved to a RED HOT 9-2 (82%) the L4 days & an Incredible 76-48-2 (61%) since Jan. 19. Pick: Houston Rockets +3.5
The Houston Rockets should not be an underdog Sunday against the Cleveland Cavaliers. I’ll gladly take this value and back the Rockets in a game that I believe they’ll win outright. After five straight losses and two days off, the Rockets finally got back on track yesterday with a 112-106 victory at New Jersey. Even with this recent tough stretch, I still believe the Rockets are one of the most underrated teams in the league. Cleveland is coming off a pair of impressive road wins over the Nuggets and Thunder, who clearly did not take the Cavaliers seriously. As a result of those wins, Cleveland is clearly overvalued in this spot. Houston will take them seriously tonight. Houston is 14-4 ATS after having lost 5 or 6 of their last 7 games over the last 2 seasons. The Rockets are 21-7 ATS in road games after failing to cover the spread in 4 or more consecutive games since 1996. The Cavaliers are 3-13 ATS in their last 16 games as a home favorite of 0.5-4.5. Cleveland is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 home games. Bet Houston Sunday. -Jack Jones

Indiana Pacers vs. Miami Heat
Pick: Miami Heat -9
CLICK HERE FOR TODAY’S EXPERT NBA PICKS
The Indiana Pacers are getting a lot of love from the media after a great first half, but this team is no where near the Bulls or the Heat in the Eastern Conference. They put together a nice six game winning streak, but those wins came against the likes of New Jersey, Charlotte, New Orleans, and Golden State. They followed up the winning streak with a 20-point loss at Chicago and then lost by 5-points at home to Atlanta as a 7.5-point favorite.
They really don’t match up well with Heat and it’s shown in their first two games this season. Miami won 118-83 at home on Jan. 4 and 105-90 at Indiana on Feb. 14. Most of the Pacers offense is ran through perimeter players, which is what the Heat defense specializes against. Indiana doesn’t have the post players that can take advantage of the Heat’s lackluster interior defense.
The Heat will be motivated to get this win after watching the Bulls drop a game on Thursday. Miami trails Chicago by 1.5-games for the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference. The 9-point spread might seem like a lot to lay, but the Heat should easily win this game by double-digits.
The Heat are 10-4 ATS in their last 14 home games vs. a team with a winning road record, 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600, and 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games as a favorite of 5.0-10.5. BET MIAMI!

NBA Picks: March 9th 2012
Pick: Mavericks vs. Kings over 196 -110 odds
CLICK HERE FOR TODAY’S EXPERT NBA PICKS
I expect a very up-tempo pace in this game. The Kings are one of the worst defensive teams in the NBA, allowing 102.6 ppg. Dallas is one of the better defensive teams, giving up just 92 ppg, but this is a tired Mavericks team. This will be their fourth game in five nights. Dallas will need to conserve energy on the defensive end to make sure they can keep up on the offensive side. I understand those tired legs could lead to a lot of missed jump shots, but the Kings defense doesn’t really force you to shoot from the outside.
Another reason I really like the OVER in this spot is the fact that these two teams combined for just 159 points in their meeting back in Dallas on Jan. 14. I think that game has the total 4-5 points lower than what it should be. In the previous 5 meetings between these two teams they scored at least 202 points.
It’s also worth noting that the OVER is 5-2 in the last 7 meetings in Golden State, 18-8 in Mavericks last 26 vs. a team with a losing S.U. record, and 4-0 in Warriors last 4 vs. Western Conference. Pick: Cleveland Cavaliers +12.5 -110 odds

Off a huge 100-99 win at Denver as a 10-point underdog, the Cleveland Cavaliers are showing tremendous value once again tonight as a double-digit underdog to the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is a team that I’m willing to back almost every time they are catching double-digits.
Oklahoma City is going to be a bit disinterested in this game. They will have a hard time getting up to face the Cavaliers, who are 14-23 on the season. Cleveland has proven to be a great road bet all year as they are 10-7 ATS away from home while only getting outscored by 5.0 points/game.
The Cavaliers are an impressive 9-1 ATS after scoring 100 points or more 2 straight games over the last 2 seasons. Cleveland is 9-3 ATS in their last 12 games as an underdog of 11.0 or greater. Bet the Cavaliers Friday.
