Philadelphia 76ers vs. Oklahoma City Thunder
Prediction: Oklahoma City Thunder -10

The Thunder got blown out Wednesday night by the Brooklyn Nets and I expect them to bounce back in a big way over the 76ers. Philadelphia is nearing the end of a 8 game road trip and has to be anxious to get back home. They picked up two wins on the trip against Memphis and the Lakers but dropped the other four because they couldn’t score more than 92 points in any of those games.
Lack of scoring is a problem when you face the Thunder. OKC scores 107.4 ppg at home this year against teams giving up just 97.5 ppg. That doesn’t mean they play at a ridiculous pace either, their opposition scores 97.1 ppg compared to a 97.4 season average.
Earlier this year the Thunder went on the road and won by 9 in Philadelphia despite only hitting 28.6% of their 3-point attempts. I don’t see them having a problem beating Philly by double digits here tonight.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Utah Jazz
Prediction: Utah Jazz -3
CLICK HERE FOR STEPHEN NOVER’S EXPERT NBA PICKS
This number is low because Utah has dropped five of its last six. Those defeats, though, have come against the Warriors, Heat, Pacers and the last two to the Clippers. These teams are a combined 47 games above .500.
Now the Jazz drop way down in class hosting a Timberwolves club and their short-handed backcourt. Utah is a strong home team. The Jazz have covered 61 percent of their home contests this season. Minnesota has lost three in a row on the road. The Timberwolves have lost and failed to cover during their past five visits to Salt Lake City.
Kevin Love continues to struggle with his shot making just 35.8 percent from the floor. He shot less than 30 percent from the floor in three games against Utah last season when he was fully healthy.
The Timberwolves need Love because their backcourt is battered. Brandon Roy and Chase Budinger are out long-term following knee surgeries and Ricky Rubio won’t play either due to a bad back.
Utah opened 9-1 at home. But the Jazz have lost their last three home matchups falling to the Clippers, Warriors and Grizzlies. Those three teams are all far superior to the Timberwolves. The Jazz should be primed for a strong home effort in a stop-the-pain game. The Jazz have a tall frontcourt, Love has yet to regain his form and Minnesota’s backcourt injuries offset Utah being without its starting point guard, Mo Williams. The spread is low enough to back a strong home team against an inferior opponent.

Teams in this system have played over 10 of the last 12 times and the games average a shade over 200 points. Washington should shoot better than they did in Chicago where they managed just 77 points. Los Angeles Clippers vs. Utah Jazz
Pick: Los Angeles Clippers -3

The Los Angeles Clippers are simply rolling right now and feeling like they cannot be stopped. They have won 15 straight while going an incredible 12-3 ATS in the process. Getting them as only a 3-point favorite over the Utah Jazz tonight is an absolute gift from oddsmakers as they make it 16 in a row.
Utah is on a downward spiral having lost five of its last seven games while going 2-5 ATS as well. The Jazz recently suffered a big blow when they lost starting point guard Mo Williams (12.9 PPG, 6.7 APG) to a thumb injury. They played poorly without him in an 83-94 home loss to the Golden State Warriors last time out on Wednesday.
This play falls into a system that is 62-22 (73.8%) ATS over the last 5 seasons. It tells us to bet on road favorites (LA CLIPPERS) – off 2 consecutive home wins by 10 points or more.
The Clippers are 14-2 ATS in their last 16 games following a SU win of more than 10 points. The Jazz are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 Friday games. Utah is 3-9 ATS in its last 12 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600. Bet the Clippers Friday.
