The Seattle Seahawks (2-4 SU, 3-2-1 ATS, 3-3 O/U) have been playing the ‘Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde’ game in alternating SU wins and losses over their L/4 games. Seattle is coming off a poor performance in its 6-3 loss to Cleveland as a 3-point road underdog in Week 7 and I don’t think Tavaris Jackson and company have what it takes to slow the blossoming Cincinnati Bengals (4-2 SU, 5-1 ATS, 5-1 O/U) who are on a nice roll, having won and covered the spread in three straight games. The Bengals, controlled the abysmal Indianapolis Colts in its 27-17 Week 8 win as a 4.5-point home favorite two weeks ago and I like them to handle the Seahawks on this contest and improve on their scorching hot 8-1 ATS mark in their last nine games. Cincinnati is 4-0 ATS in their last four games against a team with a losing record but Seattle is also 4-0 ATS in its L/4 home games. The Bengals are 2-1 SU at home – and on the road and I like them to pull off the road win in this contest against a Seahawks team that is averaging just 16.2 points per game while allowing 21.3 per game defensively. Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Houston Texans

The Houston Texans (4-3 SU, 4-3 ATS, 2-5 O/U) blasted the Tennessee Titans off the field in its emphatic 41-7 win over the as a 2.5-point road underdog in week 8, but I don’t think they’re going to do the same thing to the Jacksonville Jaguars (2-5 SU, 3-4 ATS, 1-6 O/U) when the AFC South division rivals meet in this Week 8 matchup. The Jags are coming off an impressive 12-7 upset win over the Baltimore Ravens as a 10-point home underdog the last time out and apparently stand a great chance of cashing in against the spread in this contest as they’ve compiled a 3-1 SU and ATS mark in their L/4 games against the Texans. Jacksonville really surprised me on Monday night – and I think they’ll come out with another solid defensive effort in this contest as they manage to keep the final score closer than the nearly 10-point spread in this one. I know the Houston Texans have a much better offense than the inconsistent Baltimore Ravens, but I still like Jacksonville to show up here, particularly since the Texans are prone to throw out the occasional ‘curve ball’ inexplicable showing. I’m going with the Jags to cover the spread in a closer-than-expected loss.
Miami Dolphins vs. New York Giants

I’m going to get right to the point with this Week 8 pick by saying that I just don’t see the lowly Miami Dolphins (0-6 SU, 0-5-1 ATS, 1-5 O/U) beating the well-rested New York Giants (4-2 SU, 3-2-1 ATS, 4-1-1 O/U), seeing as how the Fins are coming apart at the seams following their shocking 18-15 home loss to Denver as a 1-point home underdog last Sunday. New York has won four of its last five games while scoring at least 27 points in each victory and going 3-1-1 ATS over the five-game span. Miami’s pitiful offense has not scored more than 16 points in any of their last five games and the Fins just don’t have enough firepower to keep up with the G-Men in this contest. New York is coming off a solid 27-24 win over Buffalo as a 3-point home favorite in Week 6 and Miami has gone 0-6-1 ATS in its L/7 games as an underdog. Add it all up and it smells like a Giants win and ATS cover!
