Realize the Rangers are red hot, but playing in an elongated road trip on the west coast has a tendency to shift momentum. Tonight, Texas righty Alex Oganda (9-3, 2.92) hits the bump in a match-up with the Angels righty Travis Chatwood (5-5, 3.62). Back on May 13th Oganda threw a nice set of 6 1/3 innings giving up 5 hits and 1 earned run in a home assignment versus LA.. He has a solid 0.64 ERA life time versus the Angels. Texas has supported the hurler with back-to-back superior efforts from the hitting standing point totaling 28 runs winning both versus Baltimore and Florida.

Despite a fine ERA Chatwood of LA has pitched into some tough luck this season. He’s coming off a 5 1/3 inning stint against Detroit in which he allowed no earned runs and just 4 hits. In starts where Chatwood has garnered more walks than strikeouts, the Angels have gone 2-6 this season. Obviously, when the righty’s control is at a high level, Los Angeles increases their probability of winning. In the UNDERDOG role the Angels are 7 of 10 with Chatwood and 9-1 off a loss. Further, LA is 12-4 versus a right-hander and 5 of 7 versus the Rangers in LA. We look for a MAJOR UPSET tonight out on the west coast. Good Luck and don’t miss my Tuesday action.
