Big East betting action won’t get much hotter than it will be on ESPN’s Big Monday! The Georgetown Hoyas (15-3, 8-6 ATS) will duke it out with the Syracuse Orange (19-1, 12-4 ATS) in a heated Top-25 college basketball gambling affair. The Hoyas are coming off of a big week of games in which they took out both Pitt and Rutgers, while the Orange ran their winning streak to six games on Saturday with a 76-71 win over Marquette at the Carrier Dome.

The Hoyas are big, they’re bad, and they’re not taking any prisoners after missing out on the NCAA Tournament a year ago. This looks like a team on a mission right now, as its only losses came against Old Dominion, Marquette, and Villanova this season. As a team, Georgetown is shooting a stellar 49.7% from the floor, one of the best marks in the entire country. All five starters are shooting at least 47% on the season. C Greg Monroe is doing a little bit of everything for the Hoyas, and once again, he should be a devastating matchup for the Orange. Monroe is second on the team in scoring (15.2 points per game), first in rebounding (10.4 per game), second in assists (3.2 per game), second in blocks (1.7 per game), and first in steals (1.6 per game).

Even though the Hoyas are shooting well from the floor, no one in the country does it better than the Orange (53.4%). Seven players are averaging at least 8.2 points per game for HC Jim Boeheim, who has his team running up and down the court at a breakneck pace every single night. Now, F Paul Harris and G Kevin Drew are in the lineup for the first time this year, making the Orange legitimately a squad that can go 12 players deep. Top scorers F Wesley Johnson, G Andy Rautins, and G Brandon Triche can all stroke it from the outside, as they are all shooting at least 41% from the beyond the arc, and they’ll be key cogs on the outside if Syracuse is to push itself to 20-1 on Monday night.

The Cuse are 12-4 ATS in their L/16 games played at the Carrier Dome and 12-3 ATS in their L/15 against the Big East overall. The Orange beat Georgetown 98-94 in overtime last year at home, but lost 88-74 on the road. Syracuse holds a 5-1 ATS nod over the L/6 college basketball gambling clashes with the Hoyas.
