White Sox vs. Angels MLB Odds & Pick from Scott Rickenbach: May 17th 2017

Chicago White Sox vs. Los Angeles Angels
MLB Pick: White Sox +158 odds (May 17th 2017)

MLB Run is a long-term 151-132 +$16,450 with star rated picks and just 2 losing days with MLB star rated picks the last 9 days! Consider joining him for a HUGE Wednesday! Scott “The Bulldog” Rickenbach MLB Wednesday Late Free Pick Chicago White Sox Money Line (+) @ Los Angeles Angels @ 10:05 ET – If the handicapper you follow is just giving you the biggest favorites on the board every day you have to start to wonder, don’t you? That’s not hard, right? Just go pick up a big money line favorite and then brag about winning percentage even though the units eat you up when those big faves go down and they always eventually do. You can get hot for a while on money line favorites because they are supposed to win, of course, as that’s why they’re favored in the first place. However, long-term, you will rarely (if ever) see a capper make a sizable profit in a money line sport by playing big favorites over the course of a full season. In any event, that is why plays like this are the ones that are worth an investment. Here is a big dog that we can grab and fade a very over-priced favorite. Yes, the Angels have won the first two games of this series but let’s not forget they previously lost 8 of 12 games heading into this ChiSox series. Getting the start for the Halos tonight is Matt Shoemaker. Though he’s off of a good home start, he previously was hit hard in ALL 3 home starts this season! He’ll be opposed by the White Sox Miguel Gonzalez and he is off of a rough outing but previously allowed 2 earned runs or less in 3 of his last 4 starts. Those 3 outings saw Gonzalez allow a combined 3 earned runs on just 12 hits over 23 very sharp innings! In other words Gonzalez is fully capable of a dominating outing and I like my chances here against an Angels lineup that, more often than not, has struggled at the plate this season. Look for an upset here as the ChiSox avoid the sweep! Free Pick on Chicago White Sox as a big dog on the money line in late night action Wednesday. Best of luck, Scott “The Bulldog” Rickenbach

MLB Pick: Rickenbach betting the Padres +180 over the White Sox on May 14th 2017

San Diego Padres vs. Chicago White Sox
MLB Pick: Padres +180 odds (May 14th 2017)

Scott “The Bulldog” Rickenbach MLB Sunday Free Pick San Diego Padres Money Line (+) @ Chicago White Sox @ 2:10 ET – Tremendous line value here. Yes, the Padres certainly aren’t a powerhouse but the White Sox had lost 9 of their last 11 games before just getting by San Diego in a tight one-run win yesterday. The ChiSox appear to have a huge pitching edge on the mound here but when you dig a little deeper you see something different. The White Sox will have Jose Quintana on the mound and his strikeout numbers were down in his most recent start even though he faced the free-swinging Orioles. Also, he gave up 9 hits and 3 walks in only 5 innings of work. As for the Padres Jered Weaver, certainly his overall numbers do not impress but he has actually pitched better away from San Diego this season. Surprisingly he has a 1.15 WHIP away from home in his 4 road starts this season!

Also, confidence means a lot in sports and Weaver is 12-2 with a 1.89 ERA and 0.92 WHIP in his 15 career starts against the White Sox. In NFL you’ll hear the expression “On any given Sunday” when someone refers to the potential of an upset. This is certainly one of those situations (MLB style) because the Padres and Weaver offer great odds here considering the upset potential they have here. Free Pick on San Diego Padres on the money line early Sunday. Best of luck, Scott “The Bulldog” Rickenbach

MLB Pick: Lundin betting the White Sox -128 odds over the Twins on April 9th 2017

Minnesota Twins vs. Chicago White Sox
MLB Betting Pick: White Sox -128 odds (April 9th 2017)

The Chicago White Sox are looking good as a home favorite against the Minnesota Twins Sunday afternoon.

The White Sox hand the ball to left-hander Jose Quintana (0-1, 10.13 ERA) who was roughed up by the Tigers in his season debut, but he’s bound to bounce back with a big performance here. Note that he was 7-5 with a 2.77 ERA in 14 starts home at Guaranteed Rate Field (former U.S. Cellular Field ) last season.

The Twins turn to Ervin Santana (1-0, 1.29 ERA) who held the Royals to one run through seven innings in his first start of the season. Santana posted a 3.80 ERA in four matchups with the White Sox last season, but it could have been so much worse as he allowed 31 hits through 21 1/3 frames. The current White Sox lineup has a combined .327 batting average against the right-hander, with Jose Abreu going 5-for-10.

The White Sox won Saturday’s matchup 6-2, and this looks like a reasonable price on the home side.
