Notre Dame vs. Michigan Prediction: College Football Picks for September 10th 2011

Notre Dame vs. Michigan
Prediction: Michigan +3.5 (September 10th 2011)

The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (0-1 SU, 0-1 ATS, 0-1 O/U) took a tough 23-20 loss to South Florida on the chin in week 1 to fall out of the national rankings. Now, the Fighting Irish get a chance to get back in the win column when they visit a Michigan Wolverines (1-0 SU, 1-0 ATS, 0-1 O/U) team that rolled all over Western Michigan in its 34-10 Week 1 win in its first weather-shortened win in school history. I’m going to advise college football bettor to back the Wolverines in this contest, mostly because I believe they have the best quarterback on the field in the shifty Denard Robinson. Notre Dame is already switching quarterbacks as they’ll now go with sophomore Tommy Rees just one week after senior quarterback Dayne Crist completed just 7 of 15 passes for a pitiful 95 yards with no TD passes and one pick. I know Denard Robinson didn’t exactly set the place on fire in throwing for just 98 yards in Week 1 while adding another 46 rushing yards, but I believe the fleet-footed signal-caller will have an even better performance in week 2 against a Fighting Irish team that never should have been in the national rankings this early in the season to begin with. I really like Wolverines’ head coach Brady Hoke and his no-nonsense approach that he has brought to a struggling Michigan program and I believe he will help his team somehow find a way to get the big home win against a team that has nearly an identical talent base. Back the Wolverines to narrowly cash in as home underdogs in this one! Get more college football picks from our sports handicappers at Touthouse.com
