That is not a misprint as Ryan has won 18 of his last 22 NFL 25* TOP RATED TITAN releases for 82% winners. This game starts at 1:00 and as you have come to expect, Ryan’s comprehensive research shows you all of the facets of the game leading him to make a big play on this game.

10* graded play on the Carolina Panthers as they take on the San Diego Chargers set to start at 4:05 PM ET. The simulator shows a high probability that Carolina will win this game. Given projections like this from my simulator, I always like playing a combination bet using a 7.5* on the line and a 2.5* using the money line. Carolina has a long proven history when playing struggling teams. They are an impressive 25-10 ATS (+14.0 Units) when playing against a bad team winning between 25% to 40% of their games with this game taking place in the second half of the season in all games played since 1992. Chargers are immersed in a 0-7 ATS run in non-conference games over the last 2 seasons; 1-8 ATS after a playing a game where 50 total points or more were scored over the last 2 seasons. Supporting this graded play is a proven system posting a 44-15 ATS mark for 75% winners since 2006. Play on road teams where the line is +3 to -3 after 2 consecutive games where they forced 1 or less turnovers and now facing an opponent after a game where they committed 1 or less turnovers. 45% of the games played based on the criteria of this system have covered the spread by seven or more points. Cam newton has been given fewer progressions to make and it has paid off big for the Panthers as he has thrown 11 TD and just 2 picks in his last 6 games. The Chargers stunning win against the Steelers last week marked only the third game where they had no turnovers. The Chargers are doing a nice job against the run, but teams are attacking their pass defense. Opponents have run the ball just 38% of the time and now the Chargers have to defend both run and pass threats with Newton under center. using the ‘belly reads’ has made it very difficult for opposing linebackers to get enough depth in coverage and simply when they turn their back to get that depth is when newton takes off with the ball. Simple enough for the Panthers, but a true nightmare for the Charger defense. Take the Panthers.

I got burned by the Chargers last week; their collapse against the Ravens prevented me from going 8-0 with my Sunday NFL picks. That was certainly a heart-breaker, the type of loss that can sometimes be difficult to bounce back from …

If you missed it, the Chargers were up comfortably late in the game and would have won in regulation, if Baltimore didn’t convert an improbable 4th and forever. That said, I feel that San Diego is providing us with some solid value this afternoon.

Most are really down on the Chargers right now. Rightfully so, its been a disappointing season. That doesn’t mean that they’ve quit though. While others see last week’s loss as a sign of what a mess this team is right now, I see a Chargers team that just went toe-to-toe with one of the best teams in the league.

I respect the Bengals and won with them when they defeated the Giants recently. However, I’m not sure they’re ready to be favored – albeit only slightly – against a talented team, when they’re playing thousands of miles away from home. (Yes, I still feel San Diego is talented, despite the fact that the team is dealing with some injury issues at the moment.)

Consider that the Chargers were laying 7.5 points, when these teams met at Cincinnati, less than two years ago. Now, they’re underdogs at home.

The Bengals won that 2010 meeting. Playing on their home turf and with a chance to help do damage to another team’s hopes, don’t be surprised when the Chargers return the favor this afternoon. Consider San Diego.

Odds makers are looking to take advantage of the public’s tendency toward the over by setting the bar a little too high for these two teams tonight.

Both teams finished over this number last week as the defenses struggled. Those poor efforts will cause the defenses to be very focused tonight in what is a key divisional contest. Consider that plays on the under on home teams when the total is between 42.5 and 49 points, provided it is a divisional game and it follows a game in which both it (Chargers) and its opponent (Saints) scored 24 points or more, are 38-15 the last 10 seasons. We have seen an average of just 41.0 total points scored in this situation.

In addition, plays under on road teams, when the total is between 42.5 and 49 points, that allowed 30 points or more last game and are matched up against an opponent that checks in off consecutive games in which 50 total points or more were scored are 48-20 since 1983. We have only seen average of 40.8 total points scored in this situation.

The under is 11-3 in San Diego’s last 14 home games and 4-1 in its last 5 Monday Night Football games. The under is also 4-0 in Denver’s last 4 games against AFC West foes. Take the Under.

Oddsmakers have set the bar too high in this AFC West rivalry between the Kansas City Chiefs and San Diego Chargers. I fully expect a defensive battle, which is something that has been a common theme between these teams when they get together.

Each of the last four meetings in this series have seen 43 or less combined points. In fact, eight of the last nine meetings have seen 44 or less combined points. These teams know each other inside and out, which makes points harder to come by.

San Diego is one of the most underrated defensive teams in the league. It ranks 9th in NFL in total defense (305.7 yards/game) and 6th in scoring defense (17.0 points/game). The Chargers’ offense gets too much credit because of Philip Rivers. They rank just 23rd in the league in total offense (318.0 yards/game).

Kansas City did not play well defensively in its first two games, but a lot of that was due to injuries and suspensions. Now healthy, the Chiefs held the Saints to just 24 points and 288 total yards in a 27-24 overtime victory last week. Like San Diego, they also have one of the most underrated defenses in the league.

The UNDER is 6-0 in Chargers last 6 games following a double-digit loss at home. The UNDER is 9-0 in Chiefs last 9 vs. AFC West opponents. The UNDER is 7-1 in Chiefs last 8 home games. Kansas City is 9-1 to the UNDER vs. poor passing defenses – allowing 235 or more passing yards/game over the last 2 seasons. The UNDER is 4-0 in the last 4 meetings. Bet the UNDER in this game Sunday.
