Week 1 NFL Pick: Over 39 points -110 odds (September 12th 2011)

The Oakland Raiders (8-8 SU, 9-7 ATS) and Denver Broncos (4-12 SU, 5-10-1 ATS) both have new head coaches in Hue Jackson and John Fox respectively but I think the Over here is closer to a lock than anything else. Oakland has allowed at least 17 points in their two preseason games at the time of this writing while Denver has scored at least 23 points in all three of their preseason games this year while allowing over 20 points defensively in two of their three scrimmages. The Over has played out in three straight meetings between these longtime AFC West division rivals and I expect more of the same despite the fact that each team has a new head coach this season.
